Seaside Resort Ostend

Ostend, the monarch of seaside resorts is, with its 69 000 residents, one of the most important tourist centres on the Belgian coast. Cultural events such as Theatre on the Coast, the Paulus Festival, Atmosphere in the Park and Halloween have secured Ostend a place as a major international destination.

Ostend is also a great shopping centre. The Kapellestraat is the most important shopping street in the city. The city also features some wonderful examples of architecture such as the Kursaal, the Leopoldpark, the Wellington Hippodrome. And of course the Casino where you can also try your hand at beating the wheel.
